Hello all...

I'm spending today cleaning, doing laundry, and anything else I can think of to do...   Believe it or not, I don't really have any questions.     I just like coming here, reading and knowing I am not alone!

Ok, so I might sound like the biggest dork, but I was setting up the DVR for recording some Christmas programs, and I just stopped and thought, when these shows come on (which is next weekend) I will have the WLS behind me, and be on my way to a healthier me...    I just smile, knowing it is so close!!!!!

Oh wait, I do have a question...

Is there a "key" to all the abbreviations?  I mean I figured:  WLS = Weight Loss Surgery & OT = Off Topic, but what is that long strand of letters that when someone post them, everyone starts telling about how much they are exercising?    And PM?  Does that mean personal message?  And if you think of any others that I might need to know, will you please let me know them too.  Thank you!!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Hey Amy, most of these are listed somewhere on the OH site for under message board lingo, I'm not sure where it is, you might try searching for Message Board Lingo and see if it comes up. As far as some of the other's well..............Some of them are creations of folks on here. Now on the PM, that is a personal meassage that you can send to someone on the board. Sometimes a profile is set to private and you have to be added to that person's friends list in order to PM them. Hope this helps at least a little bit. It sound's like you are getting alot of stuff done and out of they way for next week. Don't forget to go to the store and get what you will need.............especially the sugar free popsciles, they will become one of your best friends. Will there be someone to post about your surgery, so that we will know what is going on?

WOW..  thank you or should I say TYVM!

I do have my protein powder, my liquid vitamins and calcium citrate, I have a ton of instant breakfast and broth, I also have the popsiciles, and sugar free jello, have I forgotten anything?

Thank you so much to all of you, I can't say I'd be as comfortable as I am right now, if I hadn't had ya'll to ask questions and read your posts..  I don't know if I will make it to the Christmas party, I haven't RSVP'd because it is only three days after surgery, but then it would have to be easier than going to a Predator's game!

HUGS!

Power to the dorks....lol.  All of us have a little geek in us somewhere.  I say embrace it and celebrate it.  When getting ready for surgery there are no stupid questions.  I know what you mean...the week of my surgery I kept having the same type of thoughts.  And you know what I still do.  At Thanksgiving I thought WOW I am a hundred pounds lighter now just think what next Thanksgiving will be like?

Bottled water....I really need it to measure how much water I am having.  To keep from getting bored VU reccommended Prope because it is low in calorie.  Grape flavor rocks.

I am so excited for you.  This is a wonderful time.  We can't wait till you join us here on the bench.  keep up the positive energy.......And just think you will start 2009 on the path to a new healthier skinnier you--How great is that?
Come join us on the loser's bench...there is always room for more!!!!!!!!
